摘要：

The Italian plastics industry is the fourth largest in the world after the United States, Japan, and West Germany. It has secured this fourth position in front of France and the USSR. Raw materials manufacturers, plastics processors, and manufacturers of plastics processing machines have all made their contribution towards this. In this paper, the most important trends in the raw materials, processing, and plastics processing machinery sectors are reviewed and interpreted. Statistical data are included.
