Study on the effects on heat-resistance and salt-resisting cross-linked polymers

The factors affected on the cross-linked polymers used for oil displacement and profile control were studied in this paper, including the relative molecular weight and the degree of hydrolization of polymers, the concentration of polymers and cross-linking agents, the concentration of the one-valence cations and the divalent cations in oilfield contaminated water, the pH, shear degree, temperature and ect. It was found that the sensitive effective factors were the concentration of polymers, cross-linking agents and divalent cations and the temperature. It was proved that the adverse effects on the cross-linked polymers of divalent cations can be reduced by adding the stabilizing agent EOC-1 to them.
