A new imaging technique of B-flow was developed as an examination method to provide direct visualization of blood flow with gray-scale. In comparison with color Doppler ultrasound, it has the wideband resolution and high frame rate. The possibility of B-flow in the demonstration of blood flow in the hepatic vessels and tumor vascularity in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is evaluated. Blood flow in hepatic vessels and tumor vessels of HCC are visualized with B-flow. B-flow has some unique characteristics and a possibility of a useful examination for evaluation of the hepatic hemodynamics.
