摘要：

The Directive for Creating a Framework for Community Activities in the Field of Water Policy, i.e. the EU Water Directive, stipulates limit values for surface and ground waters. A difference is made according to rivers, lakes, coastal waters etc. for determining the state of surface waters. Due to the considerable difference to the German legal system, obvious changes will have to be expected in Germany.
