Experience and Requirements in Measuring Emissions of Gaseous and Particulate Pollutants.

The emission of particulate and gaseous pollutants from various industrial plants was measured under actual operating conditions. On the basis of the results obtained a number of suitable and commonly used measuring methods is studied and discussed. The most important factors governing such emissions, namely, the type and quality of the fuel used, size and mode of operation of the plant are outlined. Comparisons between actual and admissible values are made.
