摘要
A simple and fast method for determining the resolution of microchannel plates with given structural parameters is proposed. The method makes it possible to reject microchannel arrays even before the laborious operation of reducing them in hydrogen and the application of contact electrodes have been done. Using the value of the nominal MCP resolution, one can actually select the conditions for examining the electron image and also conclude how much of the MCP resolution is realized in a given electron-optical device.
