摘要：
The pressure profiles in the manifolds of a plate heat exchanger and the consequent distribution of flow through the plates are considered for single pass working in both the U and Z arrangements. The main features are discussed qualitatively and the results are compared with experimental data obtained on an APV Junior exchanger for the isothermal flow of a 21% glucose solution. The equations governing the pressure profiles and flow distribution are then considered as a basis for future work on this problem.
