This paper reviews properties and performance of a newly developed thermoplastic polyester which combines the excellent electrical and flammable properties of thermosets with the superior impact strength and processability of thermoplastics. This material has found broad applications on the production of electric insulators. The discussion covers - design flexibility; properties comparison; processability.
