Aqueous cleaning is expanding in the electronics industry at an exponential rate. This growth rate is alarming since proper guidelines for product design and cleaning system design and operation are still in the learning stages. Many people have pointed out problems related to water cleaning that still leave unanswered questions, raise theoretical problems, and suggest future government restrictions. The future success of Aqueous Cleaning for operations will depend on the preparations made in the product design states and the requirements placed on the cleaning systems dessign, operation, and maintenance.
