摘要
The dynamics of heat flux variation through the roof of an electric arc furnace are investigted. As the number of heats per campaign increases, the growth rate of heat losses through the furnace roof diminishes, but these losses increase with lengthening of roof life. Speeding up the steelmaking process requires a considerable improvement in roof life, for which roof designs with artificial cooling are the most suitable.
