The 16th World Petroleum Congress (WPC) will be held in Calgary, Alberta on June 11 to 15, 2000. The program will generally follow the usual congress format and will include, expectedly, some new features such as sessions addressing oil, gas and petrochemical issues of special significance in regions of the world. These might include the effects of privatization programs in independent states of the former USSR and future oil, gas and petrochemical developments in the Middle East on supply patterns.
