Planar Light Pipers Prepared from Polymer Solutions.

This review paper is concerned with the preparation of plenar light pipe, also called optical fibers or fiber optics, from polymer solutions. After a short introduction into the subject, the technical problems connected with preparation of organic dielectric layers from polymer solutions have been discussed and a review of materials suitable for the preparation of planar light pipes has been given. In the conclusion the practical possibilities of the utilization of planar organic light pipes from polymer solutions have been signalled.
