摘要
Water surface profile computations in gradually varied flow is of importance in the design of hydraulic structures. Various methods are available for the profile computation. Method of direct integration of the basic differential equation of the gradually varied flow is described. A generalized procedure, which gives results of comparable accuracy to those obtained by alternate methods, is presented. An example to illustrate the above aspects has also been included. Graphs and equations demonstrate computation.
