Impression of Two Dies into a Non-Homogeneous Half-Plane.

A plane contact problem is considered for a non-homogeneous half-plane with the elasticity modulus variable according to the law E equals E// nu z** nu (0 less than equivalent to nu less than 1) when there are two contact sections. On the basis of the method of orthogonal polynomials a method is shown for reducing this problem to infinite systems of algebraic equations. Investigation of systems in the case of impression of two flat identical dies, both isolated and connected, into a non-homogeneous half-plane is carried out. To verify the nature of the agreement of the approximate solution, a particular problem of impressing two identical flat connected dies into a base is considered.
