摘要
The desulfurization plant completed by IHI in 1976 for Sumitomo Joint Electric Power Co. , Ltd. adopts the limestone wet scrubbing and gypsum recovery method. The plant was so designed as to be capable of removing 90% SO//x and recovering 105 t/d of CaSO//4 multiplied by (times) 2H//2O (gypsum). The desulfurization plant for a thermal power station must be capable of long-term stable operation with high SO//x removal efficiency and self-protection against emergency. Therefore, this plant was provided with many safety devices based on the results of various safety tests conducted on the desulfurization plant and the power plant. This paper reports the progress and the results of the test run of the desulfurization plant for the 156 MW power plant. The main test results are as follows: the operating conditions were confirmed not to cause troubles due to scaling or deposits in the limestone-gypsum process; the plant is perfectly protected against any accident by safety interlocks and safety equipment; draft, pH, and temperature can be sufficiently controlled by varying the power plant load from maximum to minimum.
