摘要:
Grain boundary cementite particles in low carbon steels are precipitated in the form of networks surrounding ferrite grains. They cannot, therefore, deform freely during rolling. Since they must accomodate incompatibilities which arise from the deformation of differently oriented neighbouring grains, they are fragmented above 30% rolling reductions. On further rolling, these fragmented particles are aligned parallel to the rolling direction, forming rows, and increasing their interparticle spacings. Orientations in the deformation zones introduced around these particles are random. With an increasing amount of these particles, the rolling texture is therefore weakened. 23 refs.
