Relaxation processes close by non-metallic inclusions

Multiple cases of relaxation processes close by non-metallic inclusions in steel, not relating to initiation of microfractures, are studied. The investigated materials are Eh3, 08Kh18N10T, 08Yu and 08T steels having plastic matrix. Microstructure close by nondeformed oxide inclusions is studied by metallographic, micro-X- ray-spectral and electron diffraction methods. To study thermal stresses Eh3 and 08Kh18N10T steels are exposed to static tension and rolling with low deformation degrees at 25 and 1100° C. Besides, to study relaxation processes under dynamical loading explosive loading is applied. To study processes dealing with polymorphic transformations vacuum heating at 25-1000° C and laser heating are used. It is shown that the character and relaxation mechanisms of stresses close by inclusions primarily depend on the type of steel treatment.
