Federal Forge Co's Lansing (Mich) Division has recently added to its shop a completely integrated line, including an advanced closed-die 6000-ton press featuring high precision and efficiency. The installation provided new sales opportunities in such hotly competitive markets as oil refining and drilling, railroad, mine, automotive, materials-handling, and earth-moving. Federal can now forge products for these fields in the weight range of 75-150 lb and in such categories as valve components, drill heads, and track rollers.
