Through simulation the shapes of detection probability functions are estimated, for a logarithmic envelope CFAR (Constant False Alarm Rate) Radar receiver, with constant threshold, and another one with adaptive threshold, when either log-normal or Weibull clutter distributions are present. The results here obtained show that it is possible to improve the detection probability by a suitable choice of thresholds.
