摘要：

The importance of cheap sensors in paper production was investigated. Paper properties like surface characteristics, brightness, printability were measured using the sensors. The producer and customer could have common quality language with transition from grade pricing to quality pricing. Higher level of inventory control was possible with the use of sensors than with the bar coding systems. A higher level of product customization was achieved with efficient predictions of environmental and security breaches.
