ANALYSIS CURVES FOR V-SHAPED FOLDED PLATE STRUCTURES.

Sequential linear programming method is used for the minimisation of cost of folded plate structure with respect to width, inclination and thickness of folded plates. A summary of optimum geometrical parameters for different span is given to tabular form. Curves for optimum geometrical parameters versus span have been plotted for determining optimum geometrical parameters. Analysis curves have been prepared for the optimized V-shape of folded plates for longitudinal stresses and transverse moments for wide range of geometrical parameters.
