A simple scheme for a jitter-tracking demultiplexer is described. The scheme can allow a considerable extension of the net bit rates and distances for error-free transmission involving only a compact and potentially inexpensive electro-optic circuit at the receiver. This scheme is tested via simulation. The results show that the correlated jitter is reduced by a large factor, even in the presence of long strings of 0's and of isolated 1's.
