Electron-beam inks are beginning to make inroads into the printing ink industry. They may not compare to UV inks in terms of market share or end use applications, but it holds promise for future developments such as in the area of food packaging. Despite concerns about high cost, manufacturers of electron beam inks think the advantages could override this concern.
