H//2S is easily evolved during sample dissolution with strong H//3PO//4 containing Fe(II) ions. The solution absorbing H//2S shows characteristic absorption at 232 nm in the ultraviolet region. Over 0. 5 ppm of micro amounts of sulfur can be determined with high accuracy.
