摘要：
The Federal government has required states to evolve energy conservation codes designed to reduce dependence on foreign oil imports. State compliance has been insured by making it a condition of future federal matching fund grants. This article considers ways of minimizing energy use in compliance with these codes. It will examine ways to minimize materials used in electrical construction and maximize the efficiencies of electrical systems using the source concept of energy expenditure.
