The circuit of a high-voltage amplifier with bipolar output is described. The maximum output voltage of each amplifier arm is 20 kV for load currents up to 2 mA; the passband is 0-150 Hz at the 0. 7 level; the gain is 10**5. The modulation method used in the early stages is a feature of the circuit. Such an amplifier may be used as the basis for a multichannel system of high-voltage bipolar sources. Regardless of the number of channels, the entire device will contain just two high-voltage rectifiers (in contrast, for example, to circuits using converters, where rectifiers are needed in each channel). The device is intended for research in electrostatics and the kinetics of ionized gases.
