The author describes some details of pumped-storage operation covering a pumping capacity of 2600MW and a turbine capacity of 3600MW which account for 9% of the total installed capacity in the FGR. The efforts of a safe and adequately rated electricity supply were facilitated by an internal interconnected system. Table gives details of nineteen individual plants, and is listed according to the time of construction and assembly and time of commissioning.
