摘要
A new pickling line for brass hollow bars is briefly described. The pickling line comprises four steel tanks, ech capable of holding one ton of extruded brass hollow bar in lengths of up to 30 ft (approx. 10 m), a lifting car conveyor system with programmed hoist and loading and unloading stations. Eight programs allow variations from a complete by-pass of the pickling tanks for 'as extruded' bar to a full four stage treatment. The line operates on a six-minute cycle to achieve a throughput of 10 tons per hours.
