摘要：
This paper presents a measurement method of nonlinear aerodynamic forces operating on suspension bridges by means of the free oscillation method. It is shown how to calculate the logarithmic decrement (the sum of the aerodynamic damping and the structural one) within the overall region of the wind velocity and the amplitude considered in the design.
