The rate constants of the reactions of propagation and termination of the oxidation chains of PP films with different degrees of oxidation and stretching have been determined in absence and presence of a photo-initiator with variation in the spectral composition of the light and the duration of irradiation. The value of the rate constant of death of the radicals depends on the mode of photo-initiation which is connected with the heterogeneity of the course of the reaction of death of the radicals in the polymer volume.
