A procedure which became known as postcapping is described and illustrated by photographs. It is shown how some 600 damaged wellheads in Kuwait were reconstructed after the 1991 war without rig move-in. Simple casing tiebacks, special wellheads and rigless operations were main characteristics of these measures.
