In order to reduce the cost of working fluids in oil and gas wells, the lower-price agents can be used to treat wells. For the performance demand, more agents need be added into wells, and so the effect of reduced cost is unobvious. It is preferable to utilize mathematical model to reduce cost of working fluids, according to the property of multiple functions for some agents. Experimental data of the properties of working fluids and concentrations of two agents were obtained. The mathematical formulas of tested data and optimization models were established with the non-linear least-square method. The corresponding application software was developed and used to determine the optimal cost and adding amount of those agents with the expected properties. The application cases show that the new cost control method is successful for reducing cost of working fluids in oil and gas wells.
