摘要
To make cogeneration practical for various commercial buildings, a New York City firm has developed three cogeneration/HVAC systems that use heat efficiently in the cooling process and reduce basic HVAC system construction costs. It also has developed a cogeneration/HVAC system for supermarkets that have special environmental problems and consume excessive amounts of energy. A key feature shared by all systems is that dehumidification (latent cooling) and temperature control (sensible cooling) are separated and accomplished at different temperature levels. Conventional systems cool and dehumidify simultaneously by chilling the air with 42 degree F chilled water to condense out adequate moisture, then reheating it as needed to a comfortable supply temperature.
