摘要
The only lime plant in the United States and Canada to be built from 'grass roots' during the last three years is Continental Lime's Indian Creek lime plant near Townsend, Mont. Rated at 500 tpd, this plant went into production in October 1982, just 16 months from the time the plant design was started. The topography and geology of the area made it necessary to locate the quarry and stone crushing facilities on one side of Indian Creek while the kiln, preheater, and related equipment had to be situated on the other side, separated by 2,000 ft. As a result, it was necessary to construct several miles of access and haul roads along with a 130-ft-long bridge to cross Indian Creek.
