Mixing enthalpies of liquid Ni-Cu-Sn alloys at 1580 K have been measured using the SETARAM high-temperature calorimeter. In the course of this work it was also necessary to more precisely determine the mixing enthalpies for the binary Ni-Sn system at the same temperature. 15 constant ratio sections were determin4d experimentally (11 for X//C//u/X//S//n equals const, 3 for X//N//i/X//S//n equals const, and 1 for X//C//u/X//N//i equals const) and the data are used to construct the isoenthalpy of mixing contours for the system. The experimental results are discussed in terms of a series of intermetallic compounds which occur in the ternary system.
