摘要：

The potential for the production of tidal energy on Korea's west coast has been studied. The objectives of the study were: (1) To evaluate the tidal power potential on Korea's west coast and to determine the priority of sites; and (2) to recommend a site for a detailed feasibility study. The paper describes how these two objectives were achieved and summarizes the conclusions of the study. The paper then proceeds to project likely further development in tidal power plant technology.
