摘要：

Sensors were formerly used for individual measurement, but now play a leading part in feedback automation for rationalization of manufacturing processes. This paper discusses what a sensor should be in this micro-computer age. The important factors for the production of sensors are measuring technique and reliability. For the R-and-D of sensors, the necessity of a close relationship between the system designer and the sensor engineer, and organic cooperation among the departments responsible for development, for manufacturing, and for sales is emphasized.
