摘要
High temperature stable resin formulations were evaluated when bonded to titanium treated with various surface preparations. Ten adhesive formulations included LARC-13, NR150 A2, NR150 B2, FM-34 and HR-602 polyimides and polyphenylquinoxaline. Eight titanium surface preparations were comapred for cure cycle optimization, isothermal aging at 505K (450 degree F) up to 10,000 hours, and humidity aging at 322K (120 degree F)/95% R. H. for up to 2,000 hours. Surface analysis of lap shear coupons after 10,000 hours 505K (450 degree F) indicates fracture of the oxide layer as the primary cause of failure.
