In this paper the modified line-spring model is used to analyze the case of a cracked hinged-hinged beam resting on an elastic foundation. The problem is solved using the well-known normal mode, and by satisfying a set of boundary conditions, the complete displacement function for the cracked beam is obtained. A parametric study is conducted to examine most of the factors affecting the solution such as crack position, crack depth, compliance for the bending moment and shearing force, beam and soil parameters, and the applied loads.
