摘要：

The ingots discussed weigh more than 200 t. By using a 100 t electric arc holding furnace, hydrogen and phosphorus contents are kept unchanged, and oxygen and sulfur decrease to very low levels. The temperature can be accurately controlled. Application of a multipour technique reduces segregation the extent of reduction depending on the type of steel. V segregation and inverted V segregation in steel deoxidized with carbon in vacuum seem to be slight.
