摘要
The simultaneous development of thermal and velocity boundary layers in the entrance region of parallel plates is analytically studied using the Karman-Pohlhausen method. The velocity and temperature profiles in the boundary layers are approximated by polynomials of the fourth degree. The momentum equation is approximately solved. The dimensionless thermal boundary layer thickness, the local Nusselt number, and the average Nusselt number are given for Prandtl numbers from 0. 01 to 1000.
