摘要：

Electronic absorption and luminescence spectra of aromatic polyimides, polyisoimides and of several molecular compounds modelling fragments of the polyisoimide chain were studied. The effect of chemical structure on their spectral characteristics could be shown. The causes of the characteristic colour of polyimides were explained. The possibility to apply electronic spectroscopy in studies of thermal isomerization of polyisoimides to polyimides was demonstrated.
