In this paper, basic data on the design of injection molded gears are given and principles that should be complied with from the point of view of the technology of injection molding of semi-crystalline polymers (polyamide and polyformaldehyde) are described. Particular attention is given in this report to possible shortcomings, decreasing the loading capacity and operational reliability of plastics gears.
