Water emulsions or colloidal solutions of lubricant-cooling technological means are used under high-strength brass-coated wire drawing to steel-wire cord. New processing oil, Ukrinol 212, has been developed on base of nontoxic commercial mono- and polyfunctional acids and spirits, nonionogenic and anionoactive emulsifiers, corrosion inhibitors, industrial oils. Emulsion on base of Ukrinol (3-6 percent) does not require energy consumption for preparation, has high emulsificating capacity, low foaming, provides stable processes of wire drawing and steel-wire cord lay. Ukrinol 212 emulsion life is equal to 10-15 'technical' lives.
