We conducted simulated experiments of induced lightning and verified the effectiveness of countermeasures against lightning. Tests to prove the withstand intensities of solar cells were conducted against direct lightning strokes, and we verified the validity of the anti-lightning measures. We present a summary of the test results, characteristics of lightning surges and countermeasures against them.
