摘要
Some techniques are reviewed that are being developed in connector design to adapt it to increasing demands for space condensation in electronic systems. A two-part printed circuit board (pcb) connector is described which gives an improved reliability in high density situations. It follows a trend towards lower insertion forces and uses materials that will withstand the vapor phase reflow soldering process popular for surface mounted components. A complete list of connector manufacturers and their products is furnished.
