摘要：
The investigations of solvent-solute interactions in room temperature ionic liquids using solvatochromic dyes were presented. The different measures of polarity and nucleophilicity of a range of ionic liquids were investigated. It was found that the polarity appeared to be largely cation controlled, while the donor strength was entirely anion dependent.
