摘要
Experiments have been performed for two-phase flow of air-water mixtures through a multiple channel consisting of two interconnected subchannels. The purpose was to obtain more reliable data on the flow distributions when the cross-sectional area of the subchannels is different. Five test sections were used. The three of them were rectangular ones aligned vertically, and the area ratio of the two subchannels were 1. 5, 2 and 3, respectively. The two others were geometrically identical, one arranged horizontally and the other vertically. They had the semi-circular subchannels of the area ratio of 1. 5. Void drift phenomena have been observed not only in vertical flows but also in horizontal flows. A more prominent void drift took place in a slug or churn flow while less pronounced in a bubble flow and an annular flow.
