摘要
A complete powertrain-vehicle model has been developed to describe the torsional response of a powertrain system and the longitudinal response of a vehicle system. The model is used to analyze system equilibrium, free vibration, and forced vibrations. The equations of motion are linearized about the equilibrium to determine natural frequencies of the torsional modes. The forced responses of the model are investigated for an unlocked torque converter. For a rear-wheel drive vehicle, the free vibration analysis shows the effect of axle stiffness on the natural frequencies of the powertrain. The forced vibrations of powertrain components under a wide-open-throttle condition are examined. Experimental measurements from a test vehicle are in good agreement with the theoretical predictions.
