摘要：
The drying of sodium silicate solutions gives very strong bonds compared to gelling by carbon dioxide and esters. Environmentally this method is superior to other methods which use organic binders. The drying and strength development have been measured as a function of air temperature, air flow, type of sodium silicate binder, amount of binder addition, and sand temperature. The mechanical properties of material after physical drying has been measured immediately after curing and after storage in different humidity. As water is present in the binder, viscous deformation occurs on loading. The viscous deformation has been evaluated according to Norton's law and diagrams have been calculated for safe and risky loads.
